Roofing

We offer a full re roofing service using the latest breathable felts and a wide choice of colours and tile finishes from concrete single lap, plain and decorative tiles, machine or hand made clay and real or man-made slates.

If your budget allows, it is a good idea to carry out a re roof in conjunction with a loft conversion as you will be sure that your roof is protecting your new loft conversion and you will also save money as we already have scaffold erected around the house.
Fascia and Soffits

We can supply and fit new upvc or timber fascias and soffit boards around your house along with new gutters and downpipes.
Plastic fascias have the advantage of being maintenance free and come in a choice of colours.

Unlike some companies we do not overboard rotten boards, we strip right back and use quality 20mm Falcon products.
Landscaping

Finished with the house? Then let us design and build your “Out door Space”.

We can design and install patio areas in a variety of stone and brick finishes and patterns or if you prefer, timber decking in any shape and design you want.

We also have experience of building and designing water features and ponds from a small wildlife pond to a full concrete Koi pond with built in filters. Please ask for more details.
Building Regulations

All our work complies with current relevant building regulations.

Loft conversion regulation in particular is quite complex and is constantly changing. Fire regulations, electrical, staircases, passage of sound and thermal insulation are just some of the rules we have to abide by and are too lengthy to go into detail on here but you can rest assured that all our work is registered, checked on site and signed off on completion.

It is very important that any significant work that you do to your property is checked and signed off by Building Control. If this is not done you will potentially have a big problem when you come to sell or re-mortgage your house as the certificate proves that any work done has been carried out properly and safely.
Planning Permission
image of exploded view of building plans
Recent changes to the town planning rules have, in theory, made it possible for more people to have loft conversions and extensions without the need for planning permission. In practice, however, the new system is not perfect and each project has to be assessed separately. In many cases we recommend an application for a certificate of lawfulness. This is similar to a planning application but instead of asking the council for permission you are asking them to confirm that you do not need planning permission, or that the proposed work is “lawful”.

This is important as any issues with planning laws are the responsibility of the homeowner NOT the builder so it gives you total peace of mind.

Specific information on your project will be given at the initial survey stage.
